Poliana is focused on becoming a research professor in applied AI and quantum computing. At just 21 years old, she has over a decade of experience in robotics and computer science. For four years (2013-2016), she won Latin American and Brazilian Robotics Competitions. Poliana also won silver medals in the Brazilian Physics Olympiad and in the Brazilian Robotics Olympiad. A frequent participant in hackathons, as both a competitor and a mentor, she loves to share and absorb knowledge. She won Bluehack (IBM) and Accenture Synapses. Poliana is currently pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in physics at International University Center (UNINTER) and a master’s in Computer Science at UFABC. She won a merit-based scholarship and was awarded the 2nd best final paper among 400+ students during her first bachelor’s program. Poliana is the co-founder of AI Girls, a tech community engaged in training women in the field of AI. During the pandemic, she has completed over 40 online courses on Coursera, Udemy, and Udacity.
